Degree Requirement :

• The candidate must have a pass in Higher Secondary (10 + 2 scheme of examination or any other equivalent examination recognised by the University).
• The age of the candidate shall be above 17 years. However, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor may relax the minimum age criterion at his/her discretion.
• Admission shall be offered based purely on merit, i.e., based on the marks obtained in the Admission Test (Written Test, Sports Proficiency Test, and Physical Fitness Test), the marks scored by the candidate in the Qualifying Examination, or any other process as per the policy of the University, with due weightage for the Physical Fitness Test.

1. Apply the behaviorist, cognitivist, constructivist, connectivist approaches in the teaching, learning, and services related to physical education, fitness, and sport at school, University, enterprise, and society levels.
2. Administer physical fitness test, cardiovascular fitness test, personality traits test, 2D, 3D motion and gait analysis, nutritional status, and sports skill test to measure performance in health, fitness, and sport.
3. Design the training schedule and diet chart to promote regular physical activity and healthy living in schools, fitness clubs, sports academies, and society at large.
4. Demonstrate the skills of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed research techniques applicable in the context of physical education teaching, fitness training, coaching, and sport.
5. Perform the CPR and First-Aid-related skills required to manage medical emergencies at school, University, enterprise, and community levels during physical education, fitness, and sports activities.
6. Display skills related to communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, leadership, and EdTech hard, and software used in the personal and professional aspects of physical education, fitness, and sport.

Program Name: Doctorate of Philosophy, (Ph.D.)

Degree Requirement : In order to take admission for Ph.D. programme a candidate must have passed Master Degree in Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) or its equivalent degree from recognized University/Institute in India or abroad with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.

Course Requirement : A candidate will be eligible to apply for admission to Ph.D. programme, if s/he has obtained Master’s Degree or its equivalent, recognized by the University in a subject relevant to her/his proposed field of research with not less than an aggregate of 55% marks or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale (or an equivalent overall average grade point wherever grading system is followed), and had also obtained the Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent recognized by the University with not less than an aggregate of 50% marks or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale (or an equivalent overall average grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed), subject to any further requirements for eligibility that may be laid down by the University from time to time.
