Dr.Vimal Singh is currently serving as Assistant Professor at the School of Teacher Education, ChhatrapatiShahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. Born in a rural village in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Singh received his foundational education in the schools of a rural environment, which shaped his commitment to educational equity and innovation. He pursued his higher education at the University of Lucknow, where he successfully completed his Bachelor's degree, followed by a Master’s in Public Administration, B.Ed., M.Ed., and Ph.D. in Education. He has also qualified the UGC-NET in both Public Administration and Education, and has been awarded the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) by UGC, New Delhi. Dr. Singh's research interests lie at the confluence of Artificial Intelligence integration, Machine Learning, and Teacher Education, with a strong emphasis on the emerging pedagogy of Digigogy—a term he adopts to describe the digital transformation of pedagogy. His scholarly work focuses on embedding AI, data science, and emerging technologies into teaching-learning frameworks to improve instructional effectiveness, learner engagement, and personalized educational interventions. He is also deeply engaged in the use of AI-driven psychological tools to support both pre-service, in-service teachers and teacher educators, especially in addressing mental health and adaptive learning needs. His academic inquiry extends to educational policy research , with a focus on digital reforms and institutional capacity-building in teacher education systems. Dr. Singh approaches his work from an interdisciplinary lens, seeking to bridge gaps between technology, policy, pedagogy, and psychological well-being in education. Over the course of his academic journey spanning 8+ years, Dr. Singh has authored one book, published over 20+ Research Papers in reputed national, international & Scopus-Indexed Journals, and 7+ Chapters in an Edited Book with 1 Book Published as Editor, and presented 18 research papers at various National and International Seminars & Conferences. He has delivered over 40+ invited lectures and participated in 10+ Orientation, Faculty Development Programs, and Workshops. In addition to his research contributions, he has published 2 Patents and is currently doing 1 Research Project and played an active role in academic administration and student development, having organized over 25+ co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Through a blend of scholarly engagement, practical innovation, and policy analysis, Dr.Vimal Singh aims to contribute to the development of a progressive and technologically empowered teacher education ecosystem that is responsive to the challenges of the 21st century.
