The art gallery in Institute of Fine Arts, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur initially got established in the year 2011-12. The main purpose of this art gallery is to display the art works of the students so that the other students, teachers and art spectators, can easily understand them. That is why after the selection of the artworks, annual exhibition “SATRANT” is organized every year. Along with this the paintings of local, international artists of other art institute’s are displayed from time to time. This is specially done so that students can get more inspired. Apart from this various schools and colleges teachers and students are also invited for the observation of various art forms & its creation process. In this way this art gallery is successfully progressing towards its purposes.
