Research is included in the three major tasks; Teaching, Research & Extension, of
higher education and research is being promoted continuously in the Indian higher
education system. In this sequence, on page number 45 of chapter number 17 of the New
Education Policy 2020, various measures have been suggested to increase the quality of
educational research. The quality of research depends on the ethics of the researcher in
doing and writing that thesis/article/paper etc., that’s why ethics in research determines the
quality and originality of research. Keeping this in mind, Department of Education,
Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur is going to organize a value-added course
on academic integrity and publication ethics so that all knowledge creators and researchers
get benefitted from it.
