An introductory talk on National Career Service, an initiative of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Govt of India was organized by the Dept of Computer Application, UIET and Dept of Lifelong Learning, CSJM University on 13^th October 2022. National Career Service is an ICT based portal developed primarily to bring talent closer to opportunities. This portal facilitates registration of job seekers, job providers, skill providers, career counsellors, etc. Officials from Ministry of Labour & Emploment under Directorate General of Employment, Mr. Rahul Omar, Young Professional, NCS-Ministry of Labour & Employment and Mr. Manoj Kalpandey, Career Assistant, DGE, Ministry of Labour & Employment addressed the students of BCA and MCA. They informed them about the objective of the portal, the facilities provided and how the students could make use of it in seeking job opportunities. The session was attended by more than 110 students of BCA and MCA program.
