Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University has celebrated National Science Day on 28th Feb 2022 on the occasion of Dr.C V Raman’s Birthday. Quiz/Model competition and a Seminar was organized on this occasion by School of Basic Sciences. A seminar on topic “Plastic Electronics : The story of science based innovations” was delivered by Prof.Y.N. Mahopatra, Professor, Department of Physics, IIT Kanpur. He described how plastics were converted to become electronic materials such as metals and semiconductors through innovative science. And  how they are at the foundation of the emerging technology of organic and flexible electronics. He also described the potential of this revolutionary technology in shaping our life and civilization. This seminar was conducted  by  Dr. Anju Dixit Deputy Director, School of Basic Sciences under the supervision of Director School of Basic Sciences Prof.R.K.Dwivedi.Quiz and model competition was conducted under the supervision of the faculty members of the Physics Department, School of Basic Sciences. Students has prepared models based on Newton’s, Einstein and Maxewell theory etc. Prizes were given to the students on this occasion.
