ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious programming contest in the world. The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is a multitier, team-based, programming competition headquartered at Baylor University, Texas, USA. The contest involves a global network of universities hosting regional competitions that advance teams to the ICPC World Finals. The Kanpur Site contest-2021 was held at University Institute of Engineering and Technology, CSJM University Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh) on 30^th Sept and 1^st October 2022. This year around 2000 teams (that is around 6000 participants) had shown their interest in ICPC Kanpur Site. A preliminary online round was organized on September 04^th to select the top teams for Kanpur Site. 906 distinct teams from the premier educational institutions of India participated in the contest, and out of this, 70 best performing teams were selected for contest.

The inaugural function was held on 30^th September 2022 along with a practice session for the contestants. The actual contest was held on 1^st October 2022 where 58 teams from all over India participated. The contest had duration of 5 hours where the teams were required to solve 10 problems. The winner of the contest was Team rng(weed) from IIT (BHU) Varanasi who qualified for the World Finals to be held in Egypt in 2023. The first and second runners up were teams from IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT Roorkee, respectively. The Contest provided a platform where the future programmers, professionals, industries and government organizations worked together.
