She completed her Ph.D. degree from University of Puerto Rico, USA. She completed DST Young Scientist Fellowship awarded to her at IIT Kanpur in 2007 and joined UIET as a Lecturer in the Department of Physics and MSME. She has published about 45 research papers in peer reviewed journals and have presented in many International and National conferences. She has completed UGC major research project in 2014. She works in the area of experimental condensed matter Physics. She has supervised many Ph.D. and M.Phil. students at CSJMU Kanpur.
