Dr. Sreeharsha obtained his Ph.D. degree in Plant Sciences from the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad in 2018. During his Ph.D., he worked on physiological and molecular responses of legume crops to elevated CO2. Later, he worked as DST-INSPIRE Faculty at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT), Hyderabad till 2022 and subsequently joined as Assistant Professor at CSJM University, Kanpur. He has published 14 research papers and one book chapter with an average impact factor of 6.5 and an h-index of 12. He is an Associate Fellow of the Telangana Academy of Sciences, and a Life Member of the Biotech Research Society, India. He received the best Ph.D. Thesis Award from the University of Hyderabad and International Travel Grant from DST, New Delhi. Currently, he is having one research project funded from DST-SERB which focus on metabolic engineering of oleaginous yeast species for improved oleochemicals production.
