Dr. Manohar Lal

Bio Sketch/About
Dr. Manohar Lal is presently working as an Assistant Professor, Philosophy, at the School of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. He has been a post-doctoral fellow at Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR). He earned his doctoral degree, PG and UG from the Department of Philosophy, University of Lucknow. He served in National Book Trust, India (Ministry of Education) as the state co-ordinator for 2 years. His area of specialization is contemporary western philosophy, with a focus on Richard Rorty. His scholarly journey was enriched by securing the prestigious UGC Junior Research Fellowship through a national-level examination. He has published 1 edited book, 10 research papers, 3 chapters in edited books, 1 patent on AI in Education, and actively engaged in teaching by taking classes for both undergraduate and postgraduate students in accordance with UGC guidelines. Driven by a profound interest in philosophical discourse, he has actively participated in around 20 workshops and 10 conferences organized by ICPR and other institutions
