A webinar was organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering for on 10^th September 2022 at 10 am on “The Production and uses of Polyolefins”. The talk was delivered by Er. Er. Verma has 25+ years of experience in the Polymer industry and spoke on production and uses of polyolefins mainly polyethylene and its uses and explained the working of different unit operations.  The topics discussed during the seminar included–

• Introduction of polyolefins
• Polyolefin resins
• Catalysts for polyolefins
• Production of PE and PP
• Catalytic polymerisation

More than 35 students of 4th year from Department of Chemical Engineering, UIET attended the webinar along with faculty members- Dr. Vinay Kumar Sachan, Dr. Arun K. Gupta, Er. Vaibhav Saxena.
