M.Sc. (Biotechnology)

About the Programme: M.Sc. in Biotechnology is a two-year postgraduate program that offers the study in biotechnology. This is an interdisciplinary program that involves a combined study of various techniques and theories of subjects such as Cell and Molecular Biology, Genetics, Development Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Biostatistics, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Genetic Engineering, Immunology, Enzymology, Animal and Plant Biotechnology, Tissue Culture, Industrial Biotechnology, Environmental Biotechnology, Nanobiotechnology, etc. During the program, students will study a spectrum of subjects related to theoretical and practical concepts of biotechnology. Biotechnology has a very broad range of applications in multiple fields such as pharmaceutical, agriculture, chemicals, animal sciences, environmental sciences, human sciences, medical sciences, material science, etc.

Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree, with any of the combination of subjects amongst Zoology, Botany, Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Sciences, Biotechnology, Mathematics and Physics with at least 50% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ST/ Differently abled students as per norms).

Fee Structure: Rs. 54, 200/- annually
