About the Programme: B.Sc. – M.Sc. Integrated Microbiology is a five years course (ten semesters). The program offers the graduates knowledge in microbiology and an overview of the processes that employ or deal with microbes that enables them to handle the safe and efficient use of microbiological applications. Acquired knowledge and understanding of the microbiology concepts as applicable to diverse areas such as medical, industrial, environment, genetics, agriculture, food, and others. The course aims to prepare graduates by imparting skills to use technological developments related to current and advanced microbiological areas involving molecular diagnostics, immunotechnology, mass cultivation of microbes, downstream processing, and nanotechnology with scope for upskilling in all potential future technologies to contribute effectively to Research and Development leading to patenting and publishing. The proposed program structure offers varied flexibility to the students in terms of exit routes. They are available only after completion of the first two semesters (leading to the award of a Certificate in Microbial Techniques). After completion of the fourth semesters (Two Years), sixth semesters (Three Years), and eighth semesters (Four Years), candidates opting for exit will receive a Diploma in Microbial Technology, B Sc. Degree in Microbiology, and B.Sc. (Hons.) in Microbiology, respectively.

Eligibility: 10+2 degree, (Biology/Mathematics group) with 50% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ST/ Differently abled students as per norms)

Fee Structure: Rs. 30,200/- in First Year and Rs. 5000 increase in every subsequent year
