Dr. Sonali Maurya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English and Modern European and Other Foreign Languages and an Assistant Dean, Research and Development Cell at CSJM University, Kanpur. She was awarded a Ph.D. degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. She also earned her M.Phil. from JNU, New Delhi. She received her M.A. in English Literature and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh in 2013 & 2011, respectively. She is a member of a committee for running programs/courses at various Government Degree Colleges affiliated with CSJM University. In addition, she is a member of the drafting committee of SSR (Self Study Report) for NAAC and also worked as a Course Coordinator and Convener of a Value-Added Course on “Academic Writing”. Before she moved to Kanpur, she also taught in different prestigious colleges at the University of Delhi and has more than three years of teaching experience. She has published several research papers in different journals of National and International repute and contributed a chapter to a book by a renowned publisher and presented several papers in seminars/conferences organized by universities in collaboration with Sahitya Academy, ICSSR, IMPRESS, and ICHR. She also worked as a member of the Academic Advisory Committee and Editorial Board at the institute level at Swami Shraddhanand College, University of Delhi. Her research interests include Autobiographical Studies, Dalit Literature, Post-colonial Studies, and Indian Writing in English. She currently resides in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
