Dr Rolee Sharma is currently Professor at the Department of Life Sciences, C.S.J.M. University, Kanpur. Earlier, she has been Associate Professor (2011 - 2021) at the Biosciences Department at Integral University, Lucknow and was also heading the department of Biosciences from 2019-2021. Prior to this, she was Assistant Professor (2005 - 2011) at the Biotechnology Department at the Integral University, Lucknow. She cleared UGC-CSIR NET in 2000 with Life Sciences subject. She has completed doctoral research at the CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute, Lucknow on the topic: ‘Studies on Host Macrophage responses to Inhalable Microparticles containing Anti-Tubercular Drugs’. Dr Sharma has authored over 42 peer reviewed publications, 4 book chapters and has been granted 5 international patents. She has around 1200 citations with 15 h-index and 19 i10-index. She was involved in the formation of Institutional Biosafety Committee at Integral University, Lucknow and served as the Member Secretary of the IBSC since 2015 to 2021. She has published around 50 research abstracts in seminars and conferences. She has completed two research projects and one research project from DST-SERB is ongoing. She has guided eleven PhD students and several UG and PG students for their dissertations. She is member of several academic bodies including International Society for Infectious Diseases (ISID), USA, Indian Society of Cell Biology (ISCB) and Alumini Association of the Department of Biochemistry, Lucknow University, Lucknow. She has contributed to organization of several conferences, seminars, and workshops and participated in several scientific events.
