Dr. Rakesh Kumar Mishra hails from Varanasi Uttar Pradesh has an expertise in Agribusiness Management, Rural Marketing and Development and Agribusiness Entrepreneurship. He holds a Ph.D. in Agribusiness Management from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Prayagraj , and a Master of Agribusiness Management from Institute of Agricultural Sciences Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. He also earned a B.Tech. in Agricultural Engineering from SHUATS. He also qualified UGC NET in Management (2025). Dr. Mishra has teaching and research experience in the fields of agribusiness, agricultural marketing, business management, and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur as an Assistant Professor, he served as Guest Faculty at Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Ayodhya, Guest Faculty at Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology (ANDUAT), Ayodhya, and as Guest Faculty in the Department of Agricultural Economics at SHUATS, Prayagraj. His research interests include agribusiness management, agri-value chains, agricultural marketing, agri-tourism, rural entrepreneurship, food value addition, and sustainable agricultural development. He has published numerous research papers in NAAS-rated and peer-reviewed journals, authored book chapters, and holds a granted patent and reviewer in international journal. He has actively participated in national conferences, workshops, and faculty development programmes, and has represented his university multiple times in the All India Agricultural Universities Sports and Games holding NCC 'B' Certificate. His commitment to academic excellence, innovative teaching, interdisciplinary research, and industry-oriented education enables him to contribute effectively to the development of skilled management professionals capable of addressing contemporary challenges in the agribusiness sector.
