Mr.Ashish Atrey, with over a decade long professional theatre engagement, has been working at the intersection of folk-traditional performances and contemporary theatrical grammars. He has contributed to numerous intercultural productions that have received critical acclaim at leading Indian and International theatre festivals, venues and Institutions such as International Theatre Festival of Kerala (ITFoK), The ULICA International Theatre Festival Poland, The Musée du Quai Branly Jacques Chirac Paris-France and National School of Drama (NSD) New Delhi. His expertise and praxis interests lie in adapting folk forms into modern dramaturgy, exploring how embodied traditions can inform contemporary performance and educational practices. He is also a PhD scholar at the National School of Drama.
