Bio Sketch/About
Dr. Dipanjali Bag completed her B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture from Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology (CSAUA&T), Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. She did her M.Sc. in Agriculture (Plant Pathology) from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, and subsequently completed her Ph.D. in Plant Pathology with a Merit Fellowship from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, Punjab. Her Master’s and Doctoral research focused on the pathogenicity and genomics of Bakanae disease of rice caused by Fusarium fujikuroi. Her work involved advanced molecular and genomic approaches for understanding disease mechanisms and host–pathogen interactions. Dr. Bag qualified the ICAR-ASRB NET (2023 & 2025), demonstrating her academic excellence and subject proficiency. She has also served as a Teaching Associate in the Department of Plant Pathology at CSAUA&T, Kanpur, where she was actively involved in teaching and academic activities. She has participated in and presented her research at numerous national and international seminars, workshops, and training programs. Dr. Bag has authored and co-authored several research papers and book chapters published in reputed journals and edited volumes. She possesses strong theoretical knowledge and hands-on expertise in various molecular and genomic techniques relevant to plant pathology research.
