Dr. Priyanka Gupta is an accomplished academician and researcher in the field of Genetics and Plant Breeding. She obtained her B.Sc. degree from CSJM University, Kanpur in 2013, followed by a M.Sc.(Ag.) in Genetics and Plant Breeding from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), Allahabad in 2016. She earned her Ph.D. from Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology (ANDUAT), Ayodhya in 2021. Dr. Gupta has a strong research background with hands-on experience in multiple projects undertaken at reputed ICAR and CSIR research institutes. Prior to joining CSJM University, she served as an Assistant Professor at ITM University, Gwalior, where she gained over three years of teaching and research experience. Her academic contributions include more than 20 research papers, books, and book chapters published in reputed national and international journals. She also holds 2 patent to her credit. For her outstanding academic performance, she was honored with the Chancellor’s Medal by ANDUAT, Ayodhya. She joined Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur in September 2025 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, SAAST. Dr. Gupta continues to pursue excellence in teaching, research, and innovation in the field of plant breeding and genetics.
