Dr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma is an accomplished academician and researcher, currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Life Sciences, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. Previous to this position he was serving as Associate Professor in the Department of Biosciences at Manipal University Jaipur. With a profound educational background, Dr. Sharma holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Microbiology from Dr. H. S. Gour University, Sagar, M.Sc. in Microbiology from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, and Ph.D. in Microbiology from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Over the past decade, he has accrued a wealth of experience in both research and teaching, with a notable focus on areas such as lignocellulose valorization, microbial electrochemical cells, lignocellulolytic enzymes, biomass & bioenergy, and Probiotics. Dr. Sharma has received CSIR-Senior Research Fellowship and the UGC-DSK Postdoctoral Fellowship. His research endeavors have been supported by the ICMR ad-hoc project and Industrial project grants. He has also successfully supervised 4 Ph.D. students and several M. Sc. dissertation work. With a prolific publication record he has published about 60+ articles in the journals of international repute and an impressive citation profile which includes 2100+ citations, with 22 h-index.
