It is my pleasure to welcome you to the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (Previously University Institute of Pharmacy) on behalf of the faculty and staff. The Institute was founded in 2004 by Prof. S.S. Katiyar, the then Vice-Chancellor. The Institute began its journey into Pharmaceutical education with B.Pharm. Programme. In 2012, the Institute expanded by offering M.Pharm. Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry programmes, followed by D.Pharm. in 2018 and M.Pharm. Pharmacology programmes in 2020. Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences started in 2021 with the intense vision and support of Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, Vice-Chancellor. The School is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, classrooms, and seminar halls.
Our goal is to become one of the leading teaching and research institutes in the field of pharmacy, with graduates who are globally competent. We strive to provide our students with the most up-to-date information in their fields, as well as strong communication skills and ethical behaviour. We encourage our students to think creatively and to nurture an entrepreneurial spirit. Students are encouraged to participate in cultural, sporting, and literary activities in addition to the academic curriculum for their overall growth. We are proud of our graduates who have gone on to work for some of the world’s most prestigious companies, both public and private, as well as academic institutions. Every member of our institute works tirelessly to develop it with each passing day, and we are confident that our new students will contribute actively to the institute’s overall improvement and help it reach even higher heights.
I am quite pleased and proud of the achievements of our Institute’s students. The teaching technique, the sincerity, passion, and commitment of the staff and students, as well as the earnest efforts of all my colleagues, have earned this Institute a high name and fame, which it continues to enjoy today. The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences faculty resources and world-class infrastructure are used very efficiently and successfully, giving students an advantage over their peers for instant employment. Under the strong vision of Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak, Vice Chancellor, campus placement has taken a new turn and heights.

School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) is one of the leading institutes offering Pharmacy education. The foundation of the department was laid in the year 2004 to disseminate Pharmacy education to those who desire to cater the society and country as an integral part of the healthcare community and Pharmaceutical Industry. The department was started with B. Pharm. (4 Years) course in 2004, subsequently M. Pharm. (2 Years) course in two specializations viz Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, were started in 2012, and D. Pharm. (2 Years) course was started in 2018. M.Pharm Pharmacology specialization added in 2020. The learned faculty of department understands the responsibility of teacher as an educator and believes in providing meaningful constructive education to the students. The department has been successful in maintaining high level of education which is reflected by placement of nearly all the passed students with excellence in their areas of interest and Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) – a national level examination
