Dr. Soni Gupta has joined as Assistant Professor, Dept. of Life Sciences, CSJMU, Kanpur, U.P. since January 2022. Previous to this, she was working as DST Women Scientist (WOS-A) (17-07-2017 to 31-03-2021) in Plant Breeding and Genetic Resource Conservation Department, CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow, U.P. She handled projects as Project Investigator: CSIR-Senior Research Associate (14-11-2013 to 13-11-2016), CSIR-CIMAP Lucknow and DST Young Scientist (16-10-2009 to 15-10-2012), Department of Plant Sciences, Hyderabad Central University, Telangana. She worked as Research Associate in Department of Plant Sciences, Hyderabad Central University, Telangana (16-10-2007 to 15-10-2009) and Plant Cell and Molecular Biology Department, Indian Institute of Advanced Research, Gandhinagar, Gujarat (11-11-2006 to 10-10-2007). She completed her Ph.D. from CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Lucknow in 2008.
