Dr. Mantosh Yadav is an academician, practicing artist, and researcher in the field of Fine Arts, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Fine Arts, Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. Born on 2 June 1992 in Sultanipur village, Jakhania, district Ghazipur (Uttar Pradesh), he comes from an agricultural family and pursued his passion for art with dedication and perseverance. He completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) and Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) from J.R.D. State University, Chitrakoot. In 2019, he qualified for the prestigious Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). He obtained his Ph.D. in Fine Arts with the research title “A Critical Study of Chitrakoot Paintings Based on Folk Culture,” which explores the region’s rock paintings, sculpture, architecture, mural traditions, folk arts, manuscript paintings, and woodcraft heritage. Dr. Yadav previously served as an Assistant Professor at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University, Dehradun. His academic contributions include eight research papers in UGC-CARE listed and peer- reviewed journals and over fifteen art articles published in Sanskar News Digital Newspaper. He has participated in more than twenty exhibitions and fifteen workshops and art camps, receiving five Gold Medals, four Silver Medals, and three Bronze Medals. His artistic practice reflects a synthesis of Indian folk traditions and contemporary visual expression.
