Bio Sketch/About
Dr. Shreya Singh hails from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. She earned her B.Sc. (Hons.) in Horticulture from Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry at Nauni, Solan, Himachal Pradesh. Following that, she pursued her M.Sc. in Agriculture, specializing in Seed Science and Technology, at Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Viswavidyalaya at Palampur, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. Dr. Singh went on to complete her Ph.D. at Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, as an ICAR candidate (ICAR-SRF 2020). Throughout her academic journey, she has maintained an exemplary record, working extensively on seed longevity, DUS characterization and seed treatment on legume crops (soybean and mungbean). Dr. Singh has also qualified the ICAR ASRB NET in Seed Science and Technology in 2021 and 2023, as well as the UGC-NET in Environmental Science in 2022. She appeared for the ARS Mains as well as Interview in 2021. Dr. Singh has published numerous research papers, articles, and book chapters in internationally recognized journals, and has co-edited a book entitled Textbook on Practices for Agricultural Sustainability. She has actively participated in and presented posters at various national and international conferences, where she has also won awards. Upon completing her Ph.D. in 2024, Dr. Singh began her professional career as an Assistant Professor (Plant Science) at the School of Advanced Agriculture Sciences and Technology, CSJM University, Kanpur, on July 11, 2024.
